 1. How do I get involved with Next Stage?

We love getting new members on board so please send us an email to nextstagebath@aol.com expressing your interest and telling us a little bit about yourself. Come along and see one of Next Stage’s shows and meet the Artistic Director, Ann Ellison before joining us at a Next Stage social event, a number of which take place throughout the year. Here you can meet other members of Next Stage, discuss upcoming productions and have your input. The second half of the evening entails read-throughs of forthcoming plays, giving you the opportunity to take different roles in front of fellow actors and Next Stage directors.

2. Are there auditions or entry fees to join Next Stage?

There are no auditions or entry fees to join Next Stage.

3. How do I get involved with Next Stage Youth?

If you would like to get involved with Next Stage Youth contact Ann Ellison on 01225 428600 or email nextstagebath@aol.com. There are three enrolment sessions a year and you are welcome to come along and get a feel for Next Stage Youth. Newcomers are invited to join for two taster sessions at just £12 each, which can be paid for on arrival on these first two Sundays.

4. How can I get involved with backstage work for Next Stage shows?

We are always happy to welcome new recruits and all Next Stage productions require a dedicated team of Stage Managers, Assistant Stage Managers, Lighting Operatives and Sound Operatives. Send us an email to nextstagebath@aol.com expressing your interest and telling us a little bit about yourself.

5. Does Next Stage have a volunteering team?

Yes. At The Mission Theatre, for every production, we look to Next Stage members to help us to provide volunteers to run the Front of House: bar, ticket office and selling programmes. In return for your services as a volunteer, you are invited to watch the production for free.

6. What are the Box Office opening times for Next Stage?

The Next Stage Box Office at The Mission Theatre is open from 9.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday. You can call 01225 428600, or email nextstagebath@aol.co.uk to purchase tickets. To book your tickets online, click HERE.

7. Can I pay by card for Next Stage tickets?

Yes you can pay by card for Next Stage tickets, online HERE, in person at The Mission Theatre box office, or on the doors before a production.

Please note that we cannot take payments over the phone or via email.

8. Do I need to have any experience to get involved with Next Stage?

Previous experience is preferred, but not essential.

9. Does Next Stage do anything apart from 20th and 21st Century plays?

No. We have a contemporary focus.

10. Does Next Stage only perform at The Mission Theatre?

Next Stage Theatre Company is The Mission Theatre’s resident company so the majority of performances do take place there. However, every 2 years, Next Stage tours to the Minack, Cornwall with fully-staged productions. Next Stage has previously toured to New York, London, Bristol and Scarborough.
