The Jermyn Street Theatre is one of London's leading off-West-End venues. Since the theatre's opening in 1994, its aim has been to provide talented new actors, directors, writers and theatre groups with the opportunity to be recognized and given a platform in the West-End. The Jermyn Street Theatre is the location where Next Stage celebrated their 15th Birthday with a production of Torch Song Trilogy in May 2009.
Harvey Fierstein’s beautifully written trilogy is delivered through three plays: International Stud, Fugue In A Nursery and Widows and Children First!. During Next Stage’s three week occupancy at Jermyn Street, the company received critical acclaim for its interpretation of all three plays.
