Peter Pan

By J.M. Barrie

Synopsis:

"Second to the right, and straight on till morning." That, Peter had told Wendy, was the way to the Neverland.

Join us as we take you on a magical flight to Neverland in the company of the three Darling children Wendy, John and Michael and the irrepressible Peter Pan. Met the Lost Boys, the Pirates, the Indians, Tinkerbell and the fearsome Captain Hook. Laugh as Nursery maid, Nana the dog, tries to look after her three charges, tremble as the cruel Crocodile prowls Neverland, gasp as the putrid pirates capture Tiger Lily, cheer as Peter Pan swashbuckles his way to victory.

“All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.”

Why not join us for this Christmas-time romp and, by clapping really loudly, show us that you really do believe in fairies. Unmissable.

Review/s of Peter Pan:

Review 1: Opening night success

It’s an odd tale, Peter Pan; the boy who never grows up and lives in Neverland, but then author J.M. Barrie had a somewhat odd early life. It’s also a mammoth story to stage, from the Darling family’s house to Neverland with Indians, the Lost Boys and the pirates led by Captain Hook, whose hand Peter had cut off in a duel, hence the hook. “Naught is left upon your bones when you shake hands…click here to read the whole review.

Review 2: “Next Stage Youth have created a delightful production that is captivating, energetic and playful.”

During this festive season we are bombarded by panto’esk stagings of our favourite stories, what Next Stage Youth give us is a classic retelling of J M Barrie’s timeless masterpiece Peter Pan. One of the challenges of this story is making a performance engaging and accessible for the younger audience, the pack of brownies in front of me were captivated from start to finish and a true testament…click here to read the whole review.
