Amadeus plays to full houses at The Minack

Posted: Thursday 27 August, 2009

After a highly successful run in Bath, Next Stage’s production of Peter Shaffer’s “Amadeus” toured to The Minack Theatre on the cliffs at Porthcurno from August 17th to 21st. The weather stayed dry (if a little breezy at times) and the cast and crew enjoyed a sell-out week at this fantastic open air auditorium, with each performance attracting almost 800 audience members.

We have been delighted to receive many congratulations from audience members and some of their comments are shown below.

“Congratulations to the whole company for a really impressive production of 'Amadeus' at the Minack. Astonishing performances from the principles and fine support from the cast as a whole made for one of the very best productions we have seen at this venue. Particularly creditable was the fluency of the whole drama, not an easy accomplishment on this stage. For this alone the Director deserves much praise.
Next Stage is a new company to us but it will not be the last time we aim to see their work.
Thank you all.”

“We thought the production of Amadeus was superb.”

“I can see the dedication of the cast and the leads were exceptional. Very well done guys, all credit to you... wish we had the chance to shake your hands afterwards!”
